What is this Pipe
« on: 04 August 2006, 16:58:45 »

About to have a service done, and thought I'd change this pipe that annoys me at the same time, been like that since we bought it.
It is a W reg 2.2.  What is this pipe and anyone got a part number?

Cheers

It's a breather pipe from the cam cover, the over end disapears into the pump.

It looks to me as if a Fire Trap had been added, and then removed.

It is one of the breathers that need cleaning out regularly.

It's arguable on a 2.2, as long as you keep the breather pipes clean, you shouldn't need one.

It's more critical on the V6's, so I'm led to believe.

Well, as I need something to tidy it up, may as well do the job properly,
Especially if it means a bit less maintainance in the long run.

Thanks for the advice.
