Hi folks.
It's been a dogs age since I've been on here, but I haven't had an Omega for a dogs age, but I still think they are a fine vehicle.
There's one come up for sale on another forum I frequent - a 53 plate 2.6 CDX.
I don't want to upset anyone on here, and I'm sure this topic will be binned if I've broken any rules, but this looks a tidy car and is going to be bridged in the next few days if not sold.
It doesn't have an mot and is sorned, but requires a very minimum of work to make it good again.
It's an auto.
If admin say it's ok, I can pm full details to any interested members.
I couldn't put it in the classified section as I don't have enough posts, and links aren't allowed anyway.
The car is in Chester.

Too many years of mamby bloody pamby political correctness.
The pendulum has really swung in the ethnics' favour now. Will it ever come back? Doubt it very much.

I just hope it takes the government's attention away from letting poofs get married, and diverts it to the issues that REALLY need attention.

Seems ages ago now.
Excellent company to work for.

Get the bloomin' powersounder out and thrown away.
That's how mine started, with a very low note, then went off like a ships' horn.
Woke half the neighbourhood up.

I managed to clean it out ok, took a whole can of cleaner though. I think with it being blocked, it has caused some oil leaks. Must investigate those.

Thanks for that Jimbob.
If the flametrap is an improvement, I'll leave it alone.
It's just that, when I got the car, this 'box' obviously hadn't been cleaned out for many moons.
The metal guaze inside was like concrete. I thought a straight run of hose might make the car breathe easier.

Omega General Help / A question for 2.2 petrol owners.

I've noticed in the pictures I've seen of the 2.2 engine, there's been another modification made to the breather system. I have a '99 2.0 Ecotec and the breather consists of a short rubber hose coming off the right rear of the cam cover, then a black metal guaze filled box, with another hose underneath joining it to a metal pipe.
On the pics I've seen of the 2.2, it's just one hose which comes off the cam cover to the metal pipe. Is there anything inside the rubber hose or is it just a normal L shaped piece of rubber pipe?
This seems a much better setup to me, as the black box breather is a bugger to get off and keep clean.

As I now have the CD back, I'm after these couple of parts.
It's a mini facelift. I need a passenger side front wing and a bonnet in Gold,
::)

Is that an offer of help?

I still have a pair of gold front wings from the pf/l Tourer I broke a few months back, you can have the pair for twenty squid collected...

Anyone?
Also need  some air intake parts. The large air trunking that comes off of the air filter box, which includes the air intake temp sensor, and the airflow meter which it joins to. Hope I've managed to make that clear.
It's for the 2.0 litre Ecotec.
Ta.

This is a long shot, and I know it, but has anyone got a vehicle big enough to collect a bonnet, wing and (possibly) rear door from St Albans, Herts, and deliver them to Rainham, Essex?
Ta muchly.

I think it's the age and deterioration of the rubber that makes the clips cut in, not the clips themsellves.
Just my two pennarth.
