Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Engine managment light
« on: 01 June 2008, 17:38:15 »
I have my 3.2 (which has this problem) booked into Long-Life in the next month and this moving of the lambda sensors is planned into the build of my new stainless cat-back exhaust sytem.

I will report back on how it goes.

(If you look back through the "General Omega Help" section for a thread entitled "Help - I know the code" you'll see a lengthy discussion on this which resulted in my booking the car into Long-Life to try this experiment. Thanks to our Dutch friend above I am filled with a bit more confidence now)

BTW: I used to run my car on high octane Tesco fuel. The light used to be on all the time. Now I run it on Optimax and / or BP Ultimate and it is only on for about a day or so every couple of weeks.

Make of that what you will.

Aye, no heated seats, no alarm, no front fogs, no trip, no cruise, no traction etc etc etc. Strangely though, I quite like the plain grey interior style of a GLS, nice.

I have to agree with you there, much better than the fake wood or fake alloy of the higher spec models.

I've painted my fake wood Elite facia and centre console a matt black, but I'm still on the look out for the genuine GLS parts in good nick.

Wow! You get a stero and a heater, that's amazing.

Look at all those blanked out buttons, that's just silly.

As for the Sat-Nav. Mine always says Nav inactive unless I happen to switch it on when I'm going somewhere I don't know how to get to. As TB pointed out, what is more concerning is that the "GPS" in the top right is red. This looks to me like he's bought the NCDC2013 and the screen but hasn't got the correct GPS reciever component in the base of the stubby GSM aeriel on the roof.

That car has a bee-sting aeriel. Therein lyeth the problem methinks.

Dave DND,

Have you got any recommendations for a single DIN head unit that I can set to amber? I need a replacement for my PUG 306.

Thanks

Nathan

Stick with the amber, blue is OK in a car that is set up that way, but isn't as easy on the eye.

I do find it annoying though that you can't seem to buy an aftermarket stereo in amber. I have a Pug 306 too and the standard dash lights are amber whilst the stereo looks really out of place.

Yes - Buy a DAB   :y

The proposed changes are a long way away, and the government taxes and fuel prices etc will mean that there are no cars around to use it by the time it is finally implemented !!!

But what's wrong with the FM? My radio is fine as it is :-/

So whatīs the difference between Elite and MV6 seats.

We donīt have that Elite model here in Finland.
MV6 had memory as option when bought. So could this be straight fit then??

Are you saying that there are Recaro, leather facelift seats with memory function built in as standard?

If there are I want a dark grey pair!

The memory function on a car that has them fitted as standard extends to the door and rear view mirrors too. I reckon that might be complex :-/

Actually I think the gay thing was started by the Police to put lorry drivers off from having blue lights in their cabs.

OK then anyone like blue light washer jets?

(I don't)

no martin they are for chavved up novas and saxos  ;D ;D
I agree, and could say the same for any blue LEDs :P
Saying that, I'm laying here in the bath typing on a HP laptop with a turquiose power LED - that really does look gay  :-[

What part of that looks gay?

I saw a top of the range Rover 75 old man's car all with wood and leather inside and the "Jules Verne 20,000 leagues dashboard" and it had blue LED washer jets. Whilst I agree that their chavvy and are genreally found on souped up Saxo's, they were definitely in the wrong place on that car.
