New ex-GMP MV6 purchase

(1/12) > >>

456lbft:

Looking forward to showing this off at Beaulieu this weekend.

Still shocked at how well it has been looked after, for an ex-service car.

johnnydog:
Looks very clean, and tidy inside! How long ago did it come off GMP's fleet?

Doctor Gollum:
That's certainly shinier than my white one, although I would wager that that's never seen a reflective sticker in its life :D

MV6 seats/trim are a suspicious touch... It almost certainly didn't leave the factory with them :-\

dave the builder:
very nice  8)
are those 195/65/15 tyres  :-\ or wider ?

Low odds on that wager - being black ::) :)
It was post Omega days that some Forces started livering 'non white' vehicles, mainly to enhance their resale value when sold after de-commissioning.

Why do you say that? It is an MV6, not a crappy 'Special'. It depends what use it had. Being black, with MV6 trim (and retaining its MV6 badging) it most likely use would have been other than 'normal' Police vehicle duties; maybe either a Staff car or Protection duties, or in some cases 'Driver Training', in which case, it would have been purchased as an MV6; the only common deletion from standard that many Forces made were the wheels. As you know from previous ownership of a ''Plod", if it was a plain vehicle on patrol duties, it wouldn't be built as an MV6 but a Special. If purchased for more specialised duties as I suggested, it would have been ordered as an MV6 in full MV6 trim.
There is a website (I can't remember which at the minute :-\) which you can input your chassis no of your Omega and it will list the full spec / options fitted to the vehicle at the factory. I did this with my Omegas, so I had a full detailed record of their original spec. And your friendly VX dealer can also supply this info if you ask the right person...
