Title: Hazards start flashing
Post by: grifter on 10 May 2018, 13:32:50
When i came back to my car today the hazards were flashing, when i unlocked it they stopped, but then started when i opened door. Is this a sign of something about to go tits up? I also notice if i unlock car with key they flash, then go out when ignition on, this is a seperate issue i dont know if related to first, as that just happened today.

Just read a few similar posts, turn hazards on off 20 times to clean switch, put key in ignition with on but not started and lock unlock with fob, also could be relay that does double flash when locking, one section faulty.

Its more than likely the alarm being activated when you lock with the remote and then open with the key in the lock. and if theres no horn/sounder when activated it probably means they're knackered or missing completely..

I would check to see if the powersounder is still fitted.

Low battery volts will trigger an alarm from the powersounder.

Thats normal, they will do that if unlocked without using the Fob.

Sounds like someone has unpluged the Alarm Horn because they got fed up with it going off and hence youve just got the Hazards going when the Alarm is activated.

My first call would be to check the Alarm Bonnet Switch or just unplug it for a while to see.

Is it the power sounder that has batteries in it or is that car battery? Where is the power sounder located?

Got it, read the guide and all info there.
