Title: Ncdr 1100
Post by: annihilator on 11 July 2018, 10:12:23
If I'm not bothered by lack of phone function can I fit one with a gid/cid, 4disc changer and relevant wiring mods to my '95 elite.
Cheers John.

No, you need to fit the display to match it due to the phone function :y

In the same way that a CCRT 2007/8 won't work with a normal display...

Yes

Firstly a '95 elite had an sc804 r/class with a multichanger in the boot, never had a phone option.
Secondly I've said in the post I'll need a matching gid/cid.

The point is that the ncdr1500 conversion is well documented and as I don't need the phone function can I use the ncdr 1100.Simples :y

Thanks Vega was pretty sure it could be done :)

Assuming you like a challenge, have a good understanding on the Parts Code Pairing together, handy with modifying or extending wiring looms etc, a Tech 2 would be handy if you wanted to get the Computer function to work correctly, Manual, Auto and other configs etc, Car / Audio Pass required, Steering Wheel Controls, RGB Cable etc etc.

Then youve got your existing Setup, Speakers, poss Amp, your Elites probably to old for Bose but does it have the Phillips Amp and Speaker option that were available of the CDX and Elites.

Has been done, some work involved, probably just easier to forget the whole idea and send me the 1100 and Screen.  ;D ;)

Has NCDR and GID /CID screen as I read it.

So if your good with modifying and building extra looms (best done on a traffic master loom) and know someone with a Tech II who can tweak the car options on the screen unit (eg. HID's)?

Perfectly possible...

That was my MFL MV6

You'd have a bit more to do on a pre MFL due to MID wiring.

I did same mod to my MFL TD Elite, and to my current Zafira-A

CID is more impressive than GID, although less reliable.

Also, due to security pairing, you can't mix and match stuff.

You either keep all components together, or they have to be proper depaired, and re-paired
