I used to sell them for around £30 around 8 years ago. Don't see why the price should have gone up, as there must be less demand for them now.

I remember seeing the rear blind gadget for the first time on Omega, when I worked in the motor trade,(many car companies lent out demo vehicles ) lots of staff commented on "if you put it in reverse,the blind goes down"  ::)

£65 on a BARC * lets you see whats behind properly

*BARC (bucket avoidance rear camera )

you don't HAVE to let Omegas rust away *

* can of worms

(which will probably be miss quoted in the next few posts to "can of rust" or Beanz can  ;D

That's the thing, however pretty the top looks, the bottom is well on its way to rotting away... Once that happens there's not much to do than enjoy it while it lasts unless you're prepared to spend £££ having new metal made and fitted.

It would be interesting to expose the hidden bits of a £4k Omega and see how they compare to a two owner 285k mile one...

The Button that controls the Blind will self destruct before the car rusts away.  ::)

I disagree, virtually all my Omegas have had them, either as standard or retro fitted.  My current Elite, being a late one, so it was the 2nd thing I added, after the CID.

The XJ has one as well. Gets used all the time.
