we all know clarkson has his problems and some of the stuff he does... but come on he makes great TV!!

Hummm Fifth Gear ... which is a truly program filmed in that stupid motorbike cafe in London, with the VBH and some other random guy ... or Top Gear?

Tough choice ....... NOT!

Personally i hope he continues on Top Gear for sometime to come...

greetings,
Anyone know how to find out which engine was fitted to my 2.2CD facelift?. Is it stamped on the block somewhere?. Looking about it seems that its either a Y22SE, or a Z22XE. I am getting near the time for the dreaded cambelt/tensioner change (78K miles!), any one know of a good place to buy a kit?. Last quote I got was for £122 for the kit, and £57 for the water pump. Ouch!, esp this close to Xmas!

Remember the cambelt & tensioners need changing every 40k or 4 years  ;)

Not every 80k as Vauxhall first said

so far ebuyer have been excellent, have returned a few things to them...  a mate sent his 250GB lacie drive back some time ago due a a fault, they replaced it no problems.

As for the convenience thing...

I ordered a USB KVM from scan.co.uk on a wednesday evening (after 7pm), arrived before 9 the next day on standard delivery!!

yep an awful company that i avoid and always have - you got to wonder how they deliver at 9.99  :o

And thats not even next day Delivery, also its the same price on any amount. Rang up PC World Business when @ my placement, a £400 wizzy printer still had a delivery charge of £9.99!  >:(

Please tell everyone you know about this, for sometime now i wish the DSG (Dixons Store Group) would go bust, awful, awful company.

They own:

Currys
Currys.digital
Dixons
PC World
The Link

When working at my placement for my uni course, i had to order 60 usb cables for a project... i was amazed at the price comparison:

Belkin 3 Meter USB Extension Cable

eBuyer Price online: £1.94 http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/57706 (says for iMac but all USB cables are the same)

Dixons price online: £18.99!!  :o :o :o :o :o - Wait for it .... standard delivery is £9.99!!  :o :o

Do a search on the Dixons website for product: 157205 - http://www.dixons.co.uk - All DSG sites use sh!t sessions, so my link will expire...

So including delivery Dixons want £28.98 for 1 USB extension cable!!!

F*** the DSG group!  >:(

Cool, yeah I think I'll go with eBuyer.  Going to wait and think on it some more this evening.  Got my head in other things right now.

Good choice, i buy all my stuff from them. Very very good.

Also check out scan.co.uk they are good these days, ordered a 4 port USB KVM arrived next day on standard delivery, they also sent a text message to my phone with the tracking number for InitialCity link at no extra cost!  :)

I'd still have to say Samsung, Sony screens are very, very good. But a dead pixel would pi$$ me off so much.... so thats why i went for Samsung in the end...

check the response time, are you into your games or films?

You want a maxium responce rate of 8ms, mine is 4ms (cause i like my games)

PC World are expensive for the smaller items, screens ect...

I highly recommend ebuyer for screens and any other bits:

http://www.ebuyer.com

I bought a 19" TFT Samsung off there with 4ms responce with DVi input for £190

I also highly recommend Samsung!! They have a 3 year warrenty, if you get just ONE dead or hot pixel they will swap it out for another one no problems!

Remember some monitors or companys will not swap it out unless there are 4 or 5 dead pixels!  :o
