Oh yes!!

The fifties was as dull as ditchwater. It was essentially the left over fag end from the war and there was still rationing in the early years of the decade.

The cars were dull. The clothes were dull.The entertainment was dull.

Well before my time I am glad to say.



It wasn't just photographed in black and white that was it's real colour.

Everything was in black & white, even people's attitudes and outlook on life.  I will always think that it was not until 1965 that 'colour' suddenly started to really show itself, with even my war parents suddenly coming to life and start accepting 'modern ways' .  Then 1967 happened......................and everything went into full colour
