Just been watching the news. Andrew Adonis is at a rally in Camden where folk are demanding another referendum after the terms of Brexit are thrashed out. 'We might decide to remain'. I saw two old ladies with tea cosy hats waving placards and a chap with a studded hat on, obviously to stop cosmic rays penetrating the........space between his ears. Nearly said brain there. ;D
Then churchgoers in Salisbury having a service to 'symbolically reclaim' the city from the evil that has taken place in the last month.
Finally, Jeremy refusing to condemn Russia for the Salisbury poisoning until he sees 'irrefutable evidence'.
I mean, what people do with their Sundays is up to them, but they should try to do something constructive, useful, even pleasing. :-\

I voted to remain but don't want a second referendum.
It wouldn't stop at two anyway.

Does Mrs Opti consent to this, or do you do it while she's still asleep? ;D

Her sister and I feel no need to tell her. :)

Studded hat is probably where they attach the electrodes for his "therapy".I'd have thought Jezza would be too busy tending the trees in his magic money tree orchard to do anything else ;D

Incontrovertible evidence was the term he used. ::) Same thing I know, but basically the old Marxist dosn't want to believe that the Ruskies did it! ;)
Boris said that the Russians are demented, which is true, but that won't stop the Lefties getting all outraged at his terminology. ;D

Planted one of my new cherry trees, so I was hoping that Lord Opti was out in his Jag to give it a feed. Started raining, so I will plant the second one next weekend.
Got a Marshall 15w practice amp yesterday, so I annoyed the neighbours with my beginner playing but learnt that plenty of gain and overdrive with reverb or delay hides a multitude of bad playing sins while giving my ears a good battering. ;D ;D ;D

I've got a clarinet that I can't play, so maybe we could do a duet? :-[
Ron.

you're not going to affect many neighbours with such a weedy instrument. What you need for that is six tons of metal swinging over your(and theirs ;D ) head at 09:00 on a Sunday. Some of that metal has been in use for over 700 years, which means complaints are easily dealt with.
And when we're done, the other two towers start :y

How do I spend my Sundays ??
NOT hanging around here listening to you miserable buggers whine all day that's for certain :P ;D ;D
-
Somehow (no idea how, or when exactly when) I knackered my finger either changing some brake discs or washing the car. So I spent my Sunday grumbling.

You not got a wife for that ? ;D

Apparently, that's a yellow job, and being the modern man like I am, all in touch with my feminine side, I did it.

Not going round IKEA that's for sure ;D

But are you as thorough and considerate as Mrs TB and remember to empty the ash trays and replace all the interior consumables like the pack of wet wipes and the box of disposable hankies?

Stuff that for a game of soldiers ;D

Down to the pub for sunday lunch....prawn cocktail, followed by turkey roast, then ice cream to finish. Washed down with a few pints of Fursty Ferret.
Lift home, lounge in the chair, then doze off until supper time :D :y

Do they still serve prawn cocktails? I used to have them in the seventies followed by chicken in a basket. ;D

Its novel..served in a large glass with lettuce, loads of prawns and sauce, and hanging round the outside of the glass, are big prawns, some with heads and tails and some with just the tail. Never seen it served like that before.....but it ain't 'arf nice, mate :)
Oh....and brown bread :y

That was the yuppy 80's way of serving 'em. Went out of fashion to serve that way now (or more likely by putting in a bowl, probably can get away with less prawns).
Not that I can stand the damn things. Never eat stuff that comes out of the sea.

I like prawns, and lobster and crab, but they don't like me. My tongue comes out in big lumps when I eat them.
Not so keen on fish, but I nicked a bit of swmbos cod the other week and that resulted in a big blister on the inside of my cheek. ::)
-
Also, prawns are very high in cholesterol. Just as well i don,t really like them. :D
