Its sorta nearly on a cloud, depending on definition...

But MySQL sucks, as you well know, and is perfectly happy to replicate its corruption everywhere.

That's why we (normally) back it up hourly, and have a server dedicate to this single task.

Did I mention MySQL sucks.

Likewise, you know I'm just ripping the piss about the Cloud thing .. because it grips my shit when companies actually fall for that line of thinking. Over and over again. Anyhooo ;D

P.S. MySQL is dead. You should be using MariaDB. It's like toootally different. Except it's the same. ;D

Pez machines. :y
Don't remember those  :-\
I remember the machines that gave you 5 park drive. In fact, if you hit them hard enough with a bat, they'd give you enough for everyone in the street, including adults.  ;D

I well remember the old cigarette machines. They used to give you free fags at 3 A.M...... ::)
Security wasn't their strong point.  ;D

Your not wrong. My Grandad nicked a whole machine from a pub and had it proudly displayed on his living room wall for decades.  ;D

I don't ever remember using farthings. Pennies and hapennies are my earliest memory. You could have 24 quite large copper coins in your pocket and only have the equivalent of today's 5p tiddler.

Yes. Before my time.

I remember the old ten bob note. A type of salmon pink colour if memory serves.

Yeah, sure Opti!! :o :o ::) ::)

Who are you trying to kid? ;D ;D :-* :-* :-*

If you have really forgotten, they were the coins with a cute robin on the reverse. :D :y

I found a few battered farthings metal detecting on a nearby hill & on mine it doesn`t look like  a Robin,  it looks more like Wren to me  ??? maybe I`ve found some rare coins   :y

Does anyone remember what we used to call the Honolulu penny? Later pennies had Britania's trident resting on her knee; earlier ones had the trident resting "on her lulu"!

Yes, it was a wren Ron, but I always thought at the time it should be a robin, so at the age of 5 it WAS a robin to me!! ::) ::) :D :D ;)

I have a bag of old pre-decimal coins. Not rare and worth very little.

I have a couple late Victorian pennies from 1898 and 1900, along with  1906 and 1907 pennies from the reign of her drunken womanising son, Edward the seventh. :y

He was a very popular King I believe?  :y

But was he the one that was rumoured to be Jack the Ripper in his youth? or was that one of his bothers?  ???  :-\

One for Lizzie?  ???  :y

Yep.....I think he enjoyed women and drink and was not adverse to frequenting places of ill repute. :y

As for Jack the Ripper.......I heard it was the personal doctor of Queen Victoria.......or perhaps her grandson Kaiser Wilhelm the second. ::) ::)

Kaiser Wilhelm was an 'oddball'. A man with unnatural  sexual interest in his mother.
