I have a fairly late 3.2 Elite and was wondering who has the earliest Omega here and the latest one, any derivative

My 53 plate 2.6 CDXi Saloon was built 2nd April 2003 apparently ,registered September 2003
latest built and latest registered will probably be very different
I hear some cars where brought by police etc and stored up ,
potentially 2004 or 2005 registered ,but production ended mid 2003 IIRC

Got a 2.0ltr 16v estate first registered 13 October 1995. But was told by a chap at NGK, when trying to sort out the correct O2 sensor for it, that it isn't a 1995 model but younger than that, so was in one of vauxhalls warehouses, waiting to be registered.  Going the other way a 2.6 saloon first registered 8 January 2002. Made:2001-10-31 Model for year:2002

For PFL and MFL, the last letter of the VIN gives the model year.  So for Omegas, R is the easiest.

My oldest was a '00 W 2.0 16v CD manual estate in Jewish racing gold, my newest was a '54 01/09/04 3.2 V6 Special manual estate in go faster white. Built in June '03 as part of TVPs last bulk Omega order.

Which was nice 8)

Incidentally, an '03 3.2 V6 Special manual estate that I owned simultaneously for a spell, was from the same build batch 8)

And as far as I know, both are restored back to their former job specs. The '03 as an NI car and the '54 in its original battenburg.

One was written off in transport and the other three went to Holland. Of zero use here thanks to the DVLA.

Basically all four chassis numbers were registered as other vehicles and the DVLA refused to accept them for registration unless GM issued new numbers along with all the rigmarole that goes with that. That was inspite of all the Certificates of Conformity matched each vehicle.

Apparently, once a chassis number is given a registration number it cannot be used for another vehicle even if the it can be proven that the registered number was an error.

 I've got a perfectly good body shell,with numbers :)
Just be like rebuilding an old (insert make model) from a pile of rust, but you've got the numbers, and a V5.
