Likewise when we sold L's Smart, a cheque arrived in the post about a week after the "You are no longer the registered keeper" letter. Magic.

Have had no problems with this site , the cherished transfer of reg number is also excellent no more queuing with a fistful of paperwork.

Thanks for that .... I'd forgotten about my cheque from DVLA  :y :y

Just need to go into to town to put it in my bank .... You'd think that it'd be cheaper for DVLA to transfer it straight into your bank instead of posting cheques  :-\

Yep, just been to the bank with the cheque from SORNing the westfield at the beginning of December. Cheques are a PITA these days. ::)

It would be perfect if they could just credit your bank account instead. ;D

I was suprised to see you can now 'Send off' the V5 online when selling a car, saves a stamp.

I get a fair few cheques....Check your mobile banking app, you can probably pay it in by taking a photo of it!  Yes, really!  Clears the next day too.

OK, now even I am impressed. Which bank do you bank with?

You can also pay cheques in to most Banks using a special envelope obtainable from the Post Office... so if there is a PO near you and no bank it is an alternative option :)

There's a bank, but it means driving to town & paying to park  :-\
