Is this open to TD drivers?

As long as you don't want a cambelt change :-X :-X :D :D
Open to all as far as I'm aware :y

Which would have been my sole intention of attending! 8-) ::) :y

Is it too late to apply?
8-) 8-)
I thought the 2.5 had a cam-chain, not a belt?

Gotcha 8-) 8-) 8-) ::) ;D ;D ;D

There is a chance I'm wrong about this.. but yeah..  ;D I thought the 2.5TD had a chain, 2.2DTi had a belt (except in the Vectra where it has a chain).. Someone will correct us if I'm wrong, I'm sure :)

We aim to entertain  ;D

I'm sure there was a belt involved somewhere on the 2.2DTi - maybe I have it back to front, though, and it's a belt in the Vectra? Anyhow, moving swiftly on :)

AFAIK the 2.2 Diesel lump in both the Omega and the Veccy are the same ;)

Certainly in the Veccy, the 2.0 and 2.2 Diesels are Chain, the 1.9 CDTi lumps went to belts again :y

I still intend to come along, meet some of you characters, chew the fat about Omegas in particular and in general, learn some stuff (hopefully), help out in whatever way I can, and hopefully have an all round nice time!
Is the location and line-up to be made public soon?

I would certainly like to make it!
No jobs needed on my car, but more than happy to bring my limited selection of tools and anything else of use.
TB, Tunnie and any other localish members...do you want a lift if you're vehicle doesn't require work? I know in the evenings it's nice to enjoy a few beers, but I'm always driving and on diet coke...so more than happy to give a lift to anyone?

Right we are slowly building up to and potentially beyond 2 dozen cars for this meet  :o

In order to guage how much work needs to be done could those confirmed attendees add what work you require, tools you can bring, and skills you can do.  I am worried we are getting close to capacity.

Also, who will be bringing the bbq, bangers, rolls and bacon? :P

I desperately need to do my rocker cover gaskets and, if I get a set ordered by then, possibly front wishbones (nowhere near desperate for those, though).

I'd rate myself as 'fairly handy' with a spanner (all the work on the MR2 is my own, ditto the Nissan - I think I can pull a 1ZZ from the MR2 in my sleep now, although last time we did forget to detach the gearbox cables  :-[) and I'll bring my toolbox(es) - spanners, ratchets, torque wrenches, breaker bar, spring compressors etc. I just need to buy some Torx sockets before coming.

As for the BBQ.. I could be persuaded to bring my gas BBQ .. just don't trust my cooking! ;) (There'd need to be a whole separate waiver form for that  ;D)

Rear dif swap and ATF change.

Big bag of spanners. Most omega tasks, suspension and steering ESP, can do cam belts but no locking kit.

I guess we need to separate the jobs requiring a lift from jobs that can be done on the floor....?

I have a few jobs that can potentially be done but not a disaster if they don't.

Diff pinion oil seal is one I'd like to do on a ramp ideally, but will get the chance to do so soon enough if there isn't time.

I can bring a gas grill, 2 burner gas stove plus kettle and have a proper (charcoal) barbecue if required.

Also have a generator if we're going to need to work on cars away from mains.

Depends what facilities we have there really.

Tool wise I have a V6 cam belt kit and all the usual bits and pieces, also a MIG welder if we're likely to need one. Oh, and I will bring the Tech 2 along, of course.
