Autobox problems - box or electrics?
« on: 26 May 2009, 10:14:52 »

Having problems with the autobox not changing as it should occasionally, but works ok when i push the sport button.

Sometimes I can see the light on gear 1 light up or flicker when in drive, once the whole lot lit up just before autobox fault came up, stopped, turned engine off then ok.

I have swapped the filter and fluid and have fitted new switches.

Is this a  autobox ecu problem? if so where is it and does anyone have one?

Worst case scenario what model is my autobox and what will fit it? will others fit? What do I need to look for?

If the leds light up strangely, its the selector switch, bolted to side of box.

So does anyone have one lying around?

What do I look for on eBay, What type is my box, IE AR25 AR35 etc (2.0 Facelift)and will other boxes fit, are they interchangeable or is another type of box a better version if I have to go down that route
