A pissy little one litre lump even with the aid of a turbo is going to be struggling in a car the size and weight of the new Astra.


My cousin had a 1 litre turbo Focus estate for a while and said it was great for running around in and short trips  :y , but struggled a bit at motorway speeds if you needed a bit extra to get past something.  ;)


there must have been something wrong with the car as I have just had for the past month a 1.0 litre focus zectec (albeit the higher compression engine) and it went like a little rocket :y

What about the common issue of broken springs.

Are they that common? I recovered dozens of Fiestas, Lagunas, Mondeos and C3s with broken springs, but never a Vectra.

I had two go in 50,000 on mine

I must admit I learnt a lot about mine in the time I had it not all good :o....but cannot have been that bad as I want another but it will be a V8 with gas this time:y

it could be worse I have got to drive over to brighton tomorrow to tell a client she has to cut her bush :o ;D....the trees are setting her cameras off of a windy night :y

Ah but you are missing the point STEMO..i work for a green company and it so environmentally friendly to drive my diesel 60 miles...so much so they will charge the customer for that privilege
