Hi guys...
Hope you all had a great weekend. :y

I'm living in Spain and it's just impossible to get Vauxhall/Opel grey sealant.
I'm for the love of whichever ever God getting frustrated to the max. I need to seal my oil cooler plate and searching to buy one
I always end up with this...

Grey for water. Black for oil if I remember correctly. :y

Is how Ive always done it...

Since this is in the gallery section, I was hoping for a picture of a helpless Spaniard covered in sealant, but to no avail...  ;)

Believe the correct equivalent is Loctite SI5660. I would guess it's actually what GM / Vauxhall use albeit in there own packaging.

Not sure tbh.

Grey goo is also used on the breather box to crank case seal, behind pot5, and upper and lower sumps, fairly sure.

Anthony not sure if I can help, more the like can you hang on. On june 27th I am visiting family in Peniscola for two weeks was planning a day trip down to Valencia. Have got a nearly full tube of grey sealant having just sealed my oil pan you are welcome to have it.

I don't think it's that critical to be honest.  ;) 


If you can't get the Vx grey goo then use a quality instant gasket that's resistant to heat and coolant. Hylomar Blue for example.  :)


You can probably get that from your local factors in Madrid.  :y

Just wondering how urgent the original post really was, two really good offers mine and James and not even yeh or ney with regards an answer. Sometimes wonder why we bother.  ???
