Looking for 3.0/3.2 Ex plod
« on: 19 January 2010, 19:31:09 »

Hi,

Quite fancy a 3.0/3.2 Ex-plod Omega in good condition. Not interested in auto or spec level, just a decent motor that doesn't need loads of work and hasn't been round the world a few times!!

Cheers,
Iain

When you say not interested in auto or spec level, does that mean you don't want an auto or you don't mind?
I currently have two ex police 3.2 auto saloons;
2001 'Y' in red with 61k that will soon be fully finished after a new interior and wood trim, rear elec windows etc
2002 '02' in metallic black with 81k, this is sold as is.

I will be updating both adverts tomorrow with full pictures and info etc.

Hi Josh,

Don't want an auto, would prefer a manual. Trim levels i'm not interested in, GLS spec is enough for me, my daily transport the now is a hardtop 90 with a radio and a rubbish heater, so anything else is luxury!!

Will have a look at your ads once updated :y

Cheers,
Iain

your luck is in, i have amongst about 9 omegas, 1x 3.2 v6 MANUAL police spec metalic blue with £1000s spent on it.
(its an undercover car with no holes at all) its in the back of the queue for refurb / repair work.  has a sensor fault and is down with my good friend Al who is a vauxh mechanic. should be ready in a month or two (had new heads etc done just got electrics to replug as one sensor playing up)
02 02 with 127k and manual  will be well under £2k

A 3.2 manual?  I thought all 3.2s were auto?

Not sure-have pm'd jw about the red 3.2 and getting it gassed-might be cheaper over a few years??

Done the DIS boots today, seems better, last item (!!), yet to drive it  :y  Never going to get money back if sell/swap so likely to keep....its just an LPG would solve the cost argument at home  ;)

Something i like about the DBW cars is how light the gas pedal is to press, in the 3.0 its hard working pressing the go pedal!

Rumour has it, Vx did not do a 3.2 manual to the public because of this light pedal, and it was killing clutches  :-/
