I haven't tried any of the buttons yet, being an old fart I'm just "wafting" at the moment  ;D ;D ;D ;D

From what I've read Jimmy it's more unsightly than damaging and luckily it's just a couple of small areas.  Already had one big bill £495 to have the transmission filter and fluid changed - well worth it, changes are silky smooth.

Agree, had an XE as a courtesy car, nice place to sit but suspension as good as my Omega and as bland as anything.  The XJ just has so much presence and the air suspension makes the car waft along  :D

Was a bit grotty inside but have cleaned the leather which needs a bit of touching up with some Gliptone. Body wise it's pretty good - just a couple of bits of villiform corrosion being the aluminium body.  Has all the toys that I was after.

As much as I like my Omega, I still hankered after going back to a Jag so treated myself to this 😁😁

Can I pop mine round the corner for some of the same treatment - mind it could do with the extra 1000cc dropping in first  ;D ;D ;D

See Labour are proposing 4 new bank holidays to celebrate all 4 patron saints - mind they'll probably cancel Christmas and Easter to satisfy the pc brigade

Maybe I've been lucky but the 3 jags I've owned have generally been pretty reliable.  My last one was an S-Type tractor which had the usual for issues and had an alternator failure which caused me to come to a halt in lane 3 on the M25 where swmbo and myself nearly jointly dedicated on the cream leather as I didn't even have enough juice to run the hazards - couldn't even listen to radio to catch the traffic report for the tailback we'd caused  >:(

Not sure if it's a similar issue but I keep getting TIME OUTS, Plusnet (aka BT) say there is no fault - nothings changed on any of the devices connected so I don't know what's going on - supposedly on unlimited fibre but at this rate I had better access with my old dialup via Compuserve  ???
