Title: vectra c estate 1.9cdti opinions needed
Post by: mathewst on 20 May 2018, 21:52:09
I'm looking at buying a vectra estate with fiat engine.
Car looks very nice at pictures, the price is very reasonable.
One owner with service history.
Engine is 1.9cdti fiat unit with 120hp.
Anyone got one of these?
Have no idea what to look at with vectras.
My mechanic says the engines are excellent (except the belt and pump issues)

The 120 is the more reliable of the diesels :y

Watch out for weak wiper motor and siezed rear calipers... Otherwise good sized estate  :y

Can suffer with intake manifold swirl flap problems.
Autovaux do a kit to sort it

Not on the 120, no swirl flaps (8 valve engine).

Not that I ever really had an issue in 193k miles with mine.  :y
