You can buy ad-blur Emulators for trucks, they just plug into obd port, and the adblue system doesn't work, there are some around for cars, cost about £30.

I just use to refurb wishbones, set of poly bushes, new ball joints, and new rubber bushes, they will last longer than standard arms.

I'm guessing it's fitted with the Asian Warner, gearbox these use a mineral oil, it takes about 7L but you have to drain and fill a few times. It's possible AW-1 or ATF3309

So which TV show are you going to reinact,, The Professionals, Ashes to Ashes, or the last series of the Sweeney..

The reason we all pop back, even tho some of us don't own Omega, is to make sure the older members are still alive, it's like care in the community, with added abuse.  ;D

My omega has developed a fault too, it will only go in 1st or reverse. I’ve had enough now, anybody want to take it off my hands?
Manual swap it...
🙁 those days are over for me. On a brighter note it’s going to make way for another edition to my fleet  2011 XF 3.0D portfolio 😁😁👍

Was going to look at one myself, isn't that the V6 that snaps the crank, also it's a Jaaagg,

Or a DTM 2.5 - they were producing around 400bhp, but seem to be rare as rocking horse shit.  I seem to recall one company bought them all up and stripped most of them for parts for the hill climb lot?

 Found one ;D

General Car Chat / Re: Adblu top up
« on: 25 February 2024, 15:35:27 »
When buying adblue, take a empty 10-20L drum to garage and use the adblue pump that the trucks use,, it's cheaper than pre-packaged 10L drums.

Use either a 3.0L or 3.2 doesn't make much difference, run the 2.5 wiring and ECU, and fit whichever sensors fit that loom,.
If you can find an MSD Super-touring inlet plenum+ manifold with Throttle body all is well, they were flowed and larger, you could also fit x4 G-cams. I think the MSD cars had different exhaust manifolds too, I can't remember.

Omega General Help / Re: Guess what? - An Oil question!
« on: 10 February 2024, 16:36:29 »
I've bought 20l of this oil for the Omegas from Smith & Allan and it seems fine. Difficult to say anything other than that - the engines run sweetly on it, no mayo in the filler neck, and they've ve not gone bang....
It is the correct API and ACEA rating for the Omega too.
I did look at Mannoil too, but I wasnt convinced,  and I steered towards the Smith & Allan from past experience of their oils.
I've have also used their ATF and EP90 gear oil in my Triumphs and it has been absolutely fine. I would not hesitate to buy more when the time comes.
Their prices seem pretty good too with very quick delivery.

I've used smith+Allen for there dexos2, use it in everything.

Yeh i'm watching that one while I wait to see if Insurance will pay for the fitting.  :y

Was wondering if the windscreen fitters over the road from Serek would remove the remnants of the old one and fit this one....

They would for a fee, you'd have to ask before you went, would be easier if you removed old one and cleaned it all up
