Old cars can be hard work and financially draining,I try not to think about the amount of money I've thrown at these cars,I do know that it's in excess of 20k, ++ :o could have had another VXR8 or a brand new Mustang, still like they say ''you can't take it with you'' and once you are to old to enjoy it, then you're fubared any way!  ::) ;)

Sadly that's the issue, fully serviced full MOT and spotless will still not command much value.

It was a concern of mine, I could spend £1.5k sorting the 2.2 until it's fully fixed. Only to be taken out at some lights by something, insurance would only give me £150 tops
If your Passat was written off tomorrow you would lose a similar amount. That's the way it goes.

That's why I never have expensive cars. If a 10 year old Volvo or a 13 year old Omega gets a dent in Tesco car park, annoying yes, REALLY annoying NO. BUT, if it was a £50k Merc or something I'd be pretty pissed off. I also don't like to have a car that somebody else would want to nick.

Being picked up next weekend

Mod close this please. Unless of course a lottery winner wants to throw a ton of cash at me. I hear that '02 MV6 Omegas are  a great investment opportunity, if you've got £50k or so. Much better than property or stocks and bonds.

No ?

Ah well  . . . . . .  ;)
