power sounder
« on: 28 June 2015, 10:54:20 »

Just a couple of questions just to reassure me please, ive disconnected the sounder and taped up the connector. I take it i can discard the actual sounder unit now but must leave the horn in place.
The sounder made no noise at all when disconnected,is that strange?
thanksfor any guidance :y

You've disconnected the power, not the sounder.  ::)

The metal horn is the main sounder for the alarm system.

The black plastic power sounder was added to facelift cars to get a better Thatcham rating. Its main purpose is to make a racket if the battery is disconnected.
