IIRC, over half of the ATF is retained in the torque converter. So you will only drain c.3.5 litres of oil first go.
So....in my understanding....first oil change gives a 50% ratio of old to new, second one gives you 75%, third one gives 87.5% and so on. So 10.5 litres of ATF will, more or less, give you an acceptable ratio.
LOL, snap. Typed at the same time ;D

I dont know that particular gearbox, but I'd guess you'd get a little over half out, so end with a 50:50 mix os old and new.  After a 2nd change, that'll be 75:25, and a 3rd, 87.5:12.5 and so on...

Even 50:50 is a marked improvement on 100% old oil.

You wont get it all out, so you end up mixing significant amounts of old shitty fluid with new, hence having to do a few times as each draining reduces the ratio of the old fluid.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Sun Sensor 2

PFL and FL have different sensors. PFL/MFL is just a single sensor, FL is a dual sensor in the same dome, to tell the system if the sun is passenger or drivers side etc.

Mk2 then thats okay, worked on loads back in the last century!
You mean last millennium ;D

Can you attempt to put a price against each, just to comply with the guidelines :y.  I'm sure anyone wanting multiple items will PM you for a bulk buy bargain ;)

Clearly not hanging enough magic trees from your mirror ;D

Great news :y

My old boss from a different life bought owned a MK2 2.8i Ghia auto.

I remember being envious, and impressed with the performance and luxury.

The MK2 is the best looking Granada.
Big bro had a 2.8i Ghia back in the day, in the obligatory gay gold. He didn't have it long, it was just too unreliable, but it was a box he needed to tick at that point in his life, having always been a Ford man up until that point.

He replaced it with a Chavalier SRi 130 when they first came out.  Faster, handled batter, less thirsty of fuel, and most importantly, bombproof from a reliability perspective.
Handled batter? Did a fish frier own it previously then….🤣🤣
They were never the best handling car really...   ...even for the 1980s.

It's a cracker (  2.8 Ghia X) deposit paid will sort it all out when we get back from our cruise , lovely old lady to deal with , I've had one of these years ago but only a 2.3GL .
:y.  You'll need to make space in the garage as well!

Your bro sounds liek he's had quite a car history  :y
2 of my bro's have great car history.  The other, like me, had to settle for a bucketload of grotboxes ;D

Omega General Help / Re: Problems with LTFT on LPG
« on: 05 March 2024, 12:49:26 »
Yes, it is not the first time that this has happened to me after refueling, but with a slight adjustment to the calibration it was perfect. The problem is that now it does not respond and it does not matter if I add a lot or a little or even cut, the LTFT does not change. I can't find an explanation, but as soon as I put it on petrol it goes down quickly and works perfectly.
It happens in both banks equally
Both banks would therefore imply a fuelling restriction (if positive trim), so blocked LPG filter, kinked hose, tank or evap valve not fully opening etc.

If it reverts to nigh on 0% on petrol, its the LPG thats the problem.  Note, with piggy-backed LPG, it will never be 0% on LPG, but should really stay single digits, or very low double digits, even with shittier LPG setups - assuming nobody still uses mixer setups.

From memory, a positive trim on those means its having to increase fuelling, negative is decreasing fuelling.

So if its fuelling up, thats not enough LPG getting in, if its trimming down, then not enough fuel is getting in.

Its most likely to be mapping on that bank, or a fuelling restriction, or a pressure difference between the banks.

Yet another puncture. Is that 3 or 4 so far this year?  Not including the pothole that wrecked a tyre and wheel.

FFS

You don't half have some bad luck with that pussy of yours. I've had 2 punctures in the last year and I feel fairly hard done to!
Oh, the wheel and tyre bad luck doesn't end there.  Looks like I might also now have a sensor fault in one of the wheels as well.  FFS.
