I just made this (very rough and ready) youtube video on my phone, to show you all this absolutely incredible, pocked sized device I was given with an Omega Purchase, and what it can actually do, especially when you drive an old barge. I genuinely never, ever believed this would be possible..........
Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't put much hope in it, but, keep it charged up, and it might just get you out of the brown stuff........ :y

It jump started me first thing to get to work, again when I left work, and again when I left tesco's! - it'll give you about three or four start ups, on a dead engine, with a full, overnight USB charge.
I put a new battery on, straight after the video ::) ;D

Yes they are great, I was surprised too I bought one about six months age it starts my Renault master 2.2 diesel too! Mine is an Arteck D29 awesome bit of kit

I've seen a few of these mini jump packs ,boosters about ,some as cheap as £50
I just keep a fully charged 075 car battery in one of the rear footwells
an 075 is big enough to start even an omega and will fit all the other vauxhalls in the fleet astras,corsa,zafiras
I have a few spare batteries ,so jump packs are an un-necessary expense
never had much luck with the older type jump packs that had tyre inflation on , never had enough power to jump something flat , hence I got use to carrying a spare battery .

Was looking at one in Costco last week, about £50 iirc, thought No way, but be a bloody good phone charger. Fair play

I have a similar one which not only starts my Omega but starts my 190D which has a 2.5 five cylinder diesel engine.

I have a similar one as well - it started a friends Hummer H2 while at Le Mans a year or two ago.. they've been around for quite a few years now and are a lot more reliable than they were and the most common failure mode now, I think, is for the diodes (in the bulge in the +ve lead) to die. Really cheap ones will cook the MOSFETs that do the switching inside the unit, too, and let the smoke out prematurely.

I have the Costco one (or at least the one they were selling a year or 2 ago), and have used in anger a few times on my neighbours car.
Whilst not quite as good as the mini traditional jump pack I have (also from Costco), it is amazing for its size.

That particular one was less than £30 delivered, same day, with Amazon prime.
I have another one which, in the kit, has a tyre inflator that works off the battery, that also works exceptionally well for what it is
