Tyre Wear
« on: 13 January 2015, 13:26:07 »

Hello OOF

I Have recently purchased a 2.6 Omega Elite but it has a couple of problems. The tracking seems to be way out as there is excess tyre wear on the near side front tyre and I can creaking noise when turning the steering to the right at slow speed, which indicates possible ball joint or something not right on that wheel.

Also have an oil leak but the rocker covers have been changed recently. does anybody have any ideas what common places apart from the rocker covers would one can expect an oil leak and has anybody have any ideas about the tyre wear problem.

How do :y

Tyre wear most likely caused by failed suspension bushes... identify the faulty parts, replace and then have the car set up properly by Wheels In Motion in Chesham (or similar) then replace the tyres :y doing this in any other order will only cost more both in tyres and set up costs.

Oil leak could be any number of things, but usually cam covers not being replaced correctly and/or blocked breathers...

Have a good rummage through the maintenance guides, and pop any questions in the Omega Help section :y

Yup, most unlikely that the covers have warped - seals the more likely culprit. Clean the breathers, or your car will get commit suicide! Welcome!
