Mum and Dad-
« on: 02 November 2013, 14:00:40 »

Celebrated their 77th wedding anniversary yesterday. They still live in their own bungalow and do all their own chores,
such as cleaning, cooking, washing etc. Both well into their nineties. God, my old mum deserves a medal. :D

Congrats. :y :y :y

My parents managed 63 years before my father passed away, and I thought that was good.

Surely your parents must have married very young. :y

One hell of an accomplishment  :y :y :y :y

I just wonder how many times your Dad has said "Yes Dear......", if he had a pound for every time ....  :)  :)

Congratulations and hopefully many more  :y :y

That really is amazing. Some people were obviously just made for each other.

Very heartwarming to hear :y
Imho, the 'old uns' are made of sterner stuff than more recent Generations and 'for better or worse' was more than mere words in their vows! Please give them our very best wishes for many more years together :y
