I lived in the aussi bush for a few years and the farmer next door bought one had it for about 8 months and it ended up dumped in the dry creek bed with all the other scrappers. he ended up with his favourite, the land cruiser.
Though my commodor went where his went no trouble. Good job retreads and exhausts were cheap. ;D ;D ;D

performance is the same, its actually should be a little better as LPG is about 105 RON but knock sensors can't take full advantage.
LPG has obviously improved since the last time I sampled it then (10mph less on top end compared to petrol, and a noticeable loss on acceleration right throughout the range).

Still worth the money if you intend to keep the car long term though (until the government gets wise and whacks the duty on).

All depends what system is fitted... The latest Sequential systems have very little performance loss, in face normally there isn't any but it is dependant on setup and system. The older, mixer systems were a little poor ::) ::) ::)

There is a drop in economy of up to 20% though, but at the price you pay it's perfectly acceptable :y :y

You will always get slightly less power on LPG unless you have a liquid injection system so the octane rating doesn't really come into it.

However, my 3.2 doesn't have noticeably less power on LPG. Certainly not enough to reduce the top end (whatever that is - couldn't possibly comment  :-[) by 10 MPH. SGI systems are pretty good.
