well, the omega 2.5 v6 auto estate is gone.

the engine seized after 3 miles.

Omega General Help / starting problems , cut out while driving
« on: 14 November 2015, 19:18:40 »
guys, my omega, which was standing for the last 6 month had a couple times a nearly empty batterie, recharged and started, it would start and run for a long time even restart all over again for some days.
now i charged last time the batterie last tuesday, started and run.
i filled 5 litre petrol in as it was on 20 miles left according board computer. ( extented to 48 miles )
took it out for little ride today ( aorund 8 miles to Petrol Station which i never came too ), and even it showed 30 miles remaining petrol it cut out, and wouldn't start again.
just clicking. no turn on the startermotor.
got new batterie and tried again. no starter motor noise. just clicking.
no messages on computer, and no warning lights came on prior to cut out.

now i am thinking of startermotor, but why would it cut out while driving?
Batterie, possible, but why is nothing happend apart from the clicking noise with a new batterie ?
petrol ? maybe the computer is lying and its out of fuel ? but again, why is the startermotor not engaging ?

its a cdx 2000 reg  2.5 v6 automatic.

any help out there in the omega world to solve this issue ?

Thank you

any suggrestions for cheap fix to pass?
spendet allready enough in it. and if this carry on it will go to a daeler in exchange for a ford ( as new vauxhalls are not build for bhp space and towing )/

dont realy want a ford i would like to keep the omega but in this ate i refuse paying every month a lot out for keeping a car on the road for so called safety.

General Car Chat / galaxy ??
« on: 29 March 2015, 19:44:57 »
right,
no I am NOT selling the Omega, NOT scrapping it or similar.
I want to keep it as second Car.
despite to the Goverment wishes to get rid of Gas Guzzlers i love em and i dont give a shit what Vermin David c. wants. simple. lol

i be talking today with a very good friend about a newer Car.
Due me doing loads of Mileage, want to be comfy and need Space, i be looking something like a Galaxy.
3 Years old maybe.
Finance of Course with Warranty and Stuff in case of Problems, but all this will be sorted to my Advantage or no deal.
I am very picky if i soend some Money in a Car. lol

now I am looking Petrol only, Automatik and of course Leather Interior, Aircon, all the usual for me standart Toys.
means nearly everything so i can play while im in boring stuck traffic.

Soundsystem wil be exchanged anyway to my Stadarts not \\manufacterer recomendations.

my question,

anybody driving one, or drove one, or can tell me some about it.
I am looking something like a 2.3 to 2.9 preferable v6 engines, bigger the better as long life guarante also easy to tow my caravn.

anybody ???

Thank you in Advance.

( i know there maybe cheaper and better ones the same size around but the guy works for Ford, therefore the biggest Spaceship from Ford is the Galaxy )

General Discussion Area / Wgy is it ...
« on: 26 March 2015, 17:38:22 »
... that everything whichh is fun and enjoyable is classed as Dangerous, Strange, unsociable and even get Banned by the bloody Goverment.
and this is not only this Vermin David Cameron.
Its everywhere.
i can remember being on a Lake where they digging sand out in the Sumer, having a Fire and loads of Alcohol and sexy Girls.
Driving with Mates, building a Convoy with 5 to 8 Cars, Distance maybe to Glasgow and have a Coffee, using CB Radios.
Roller Scating on the Street ( Side Streets )
Ice Scating ( depending )
going out every weekend
having big Cars
loud music
BBQ in my Garden with 50 peoples
Smoking Cigarettes
Drinking foreign Alcohol, loads stronger as the watered down stuff from sainsburys or morrisons
and loads more i cant even remember at the moment.

all that is gone.
to dangerous
unsociable
against health and safety idiots ideas
to expensive
not wanted as classed as illegal meetings
and so on.

seems all what's left is going to work and home watching boring sport or shows on tv.
what a sad live.

still breaking out of that because i want to and i don't want to loose out on fun.
who else is with me on that?

Omega General Help / Why and what ???
« on: 23 March 2015, 17:53:49 »
What dos this light mean?
i seen some posts before but cant find any now.

the light cam on after i came back from yr motorway driving for around 25 miles 70+ and over country lanes around 50 plus overtaking reaching 70, then town traffic.
no difference in speed, pulling, or noises.

it came of up hill driving off on a roundabout but when i drove around a half a mile and had to stop it went off.
off since,

anything i should watch out for or maybe doing before it gets somehow worse?

Omega General Help / Anybody able to help on this one please?
« on: 21 March 2015, 15:35:01 »
right, just changed the rear Brake discs, Shoes and Pads on the Omega.
Reason, it was giving a reading between 3.5 and 4 on the Brake check and indication of wobble by braking.
also i was waiting of the Pads to go down which been grinding the last 2 days now.
it was Time to change, at least one Job done in 1 hour.

now i figured out why the rear left was oppsed up.
i bought the car like this and cjecjed the pads but they been new, never actually had the tyre of to check of this little monster.

this is missing.
i try to get one but seems they not available to  buy.
anybody got a spare one of them please?

I am looking for this kind of spring which holds the sliders in place and secures them.
