Fireworks at midnight
« on: 31 December 2018, 19:45:24 »

I thought that was the general idea on New Year's Eve. But the Jeremy Kyle fodder have been at it for a couple of hours already round here. What is the connection between a lack of intelligence and loud bangs?
Answers on a postcard please.

WTF do people need to set off fireworks at unsocialable hours, ie midnight.

Any oppser doing so should be immediately culled.  I'm sure if I ramped up the bongo bongo tunes to full power at midnight, the ol' bill would be round.

I'm trying to be interested in the shite on the telly thinking I might try and stay up till midnight. But I doubt it very much, just CBA.
I'm hoping my tee shirt is here by Wednesday, so I can wear it when I take the dog out. Everyone will be shaking hands and  'Happy new year' ing. My tee shirt will declare 'New Year, Same Old Shit'.
HA!

I'm just off to the cathedral, where we'll be swinging 6 tons of metal above Rochester's heads at midnight ;D

Illegal here and cannot be bought over the counter, wonder why ?
Expect to see a controlled display at midnight which to be fair is beautifull against the mountains down here.
I don't miss all those idiots who " light up the sky with Standard fireworks "
Enjoy yourselves and have a good New Year.

Just put "the Equilizer " on.

Maybe after he's sorted a few Ruskies out he can sort the early Firework retards out.

Dont they realise there taking the edge of the evening?

I've just got home from ringing the old year out, and the new year in. Ringers have been doing this for about 400 years, and we brought friends along to join the party.

Hopefully the revellers along Rochester high street weren't too confused by us fading out 2018, chiming Midnight and firing in 2019. Then we continued the party in the ringing chamber.

Our visitors stood on the cathedral roof, watching the fireworks over Medway listening to traditional ringing on a lovely 10 bell ring.
