I'm offering it on here first before I trade it in for a newer car.

It's an Omega that I've not seen to many of being a facelift 2.0 16V CDX, it might just be me but I've only ever seen 2.2 and up in CDX spec.

She is a W reg with 113,000 miles on and comes in met black with cream seats and has the full CDX spec. Being the 2.0 and auto she really is not to bad on fuel and pulls very well. She had a new cambelt and water pump Oct 2008 and a new cat and CO last year for MOT. She has service history and apart from a small dent in the offside front wing she is in really good condition. She is just out of TAX and MOT but I really can't see her needing much as she's only done about a 1000 miles since the last MOT. The reason the car needs to be sold is that it was my grandmothers and she is no longer with us and as much as I would like to keep the car I just can't, I can't even bring myself to drive her.

I will try and get some photos up on here in the next few days, also I'm not on here that much now as I don't have an Omega myself so really the best way to get in touch is email and my address is cj.mortimer@sky.com

Now as for price, I've talked to a couple of garages about trading her in against another car and they all come back with prices around the £400 mark so please offers above. I know she would break for far more but A, I could never bring myself to it and B, she really is in great condition and it would be a real shame to do it.

Thanks for taking the time to read this ad  :)

This is the other one that I was talking about.

Can you tell me which one you changed?

Regards,
Richard

Hi richard this is the one i changed and as you look at the engine it's down to your left on the back of the rad and by what you have said youe car is doing this is the one.
The other one you have put a pic up of has just gone on my fathers 2.2DTI and his EML is on all the time till he hits over 2000 rpm and then it goes out and then when it drops down past 2000 rpm it comes back on again.

Mmmm interesting. The EGR sounds like it could be the cause. I presume   it is something I can fit myself?

Did you also have the low MPG with yours?

I had low MPG and as for power it was like my turbo had been taking out. The EGR valve is a nice and easy job to do :y

EGR valve. My Old Y reg estate was doing the same and i change the valve and it then took off, its all to do with the vac to and from the turbo. The valve is about £100 from vauxhall TC :y

The rear shocks will come in under a £100 for the pair TC for the rear of your omega but the squeak could be a link arm which is a lot less money ;)

The cambelt from vauxhall will set you back about £125 TC and if you let us know where you are in the country there may be a member who could help you out with the fitting for a few beer tokens or there may even be a cambelt meet coming up soon.

These are great cars and dont cost the earth to run :y

I'm not so sure about non vauxhall but i had a set of gen ones on my omega and the front ones come off as fast as they went on cos they rub the ground every time you go round a bend and in turn drive you round the bend ;D

age?

Being a sport i would suspect 2002 ish.

Why on earth they badged the 2.2 a sport i will never know, its not sporty!!

Don't pay any more than 2.4k

Its not that bad and you did get MV6 bumpers and trim :)
These do make quite good money but if you can get it for under £2750 then its a good buy ;)
