On a different note. I took a pic of the one good reason for having a plastic welsh / f----h diesel hatchback for commuting.

I think it over reads by about 10%, but wil check when I fill it up in the next week or so.

Is that all  ;D

Used to get the same from the XF, even the Velar manages 50 if you take it steady :y ;)

What do you reckon I'd get from an XF diesel.  For comparison, I tend to get 32mpg from the XJ tractor (early, euro 5 version of the V6 3l)?

Thinking about replacements for TBE, now that Towcester Shell has also stopped doing LPG, and as she'll be back to 80 miles a day when she goes back to working in the office, the old Omega has suddenly become too expensive to run :(

Depends how its driven, the ZF8 makes a big difference to the economy over the 6 speed, I could, if driven like an old lady, get 75mpg indicated (72mpg actual) on my commute (Rugby - Nottingham) from the 2.0 Ingenium

Filled it up last night. It was still reading 70.0 mpg. Actual mpg calcualted to 67, so it doesnt lie as badly as I suspected.

Its 59 plate clit 1.5 dci. It spent its early life in Wales and has the welsh dragon emblem on the number plates.   :y

But reality of me and Mrs TB driving? Any idea?

A mate of mine as a 2.7 TDV6 XJ (x358) and gets stonking economy off that - always over 50mpg, and 800 miles to a tank on a run - and whilst he aint a boy racer (often), he don't hang around.  So part of me is thinking of an older (and cheap ;D) 2.7 XF for her.

Today, I took TBE into central Londonium, just south of the river.  Due to closed roads, I took it on a sightseeing tours, crossing Oxford Street about a million times, through Picadilly Circus and Traf Sq, past Downing Street and the Houses of Parliament.

TBE taken as exempt from ULEZ, and getting expenses back from work can always be "interesting". But boogered if I was going on a train.

Yesterday, I took the Big Black (and dirty) Pussy into the Fens, where people are thick* and men marry their sisters.

went out and looked at the paint missing from the off side front bumper  :(
fortunately the woman who scraped past me in a piss poor attempt at parking in front of me did ring the door bell and fess up  :)
wants to "pay cash" for the damage to mine which is only paint , which i'm fine with ,
because insurance claims always cost ,despite who was to blame  :(
her N/S rear 1/4 and arch are stoved in ,cracked paint etc , crappy nearly new 3 door ford thing ,Fraud fester i think

Removed the grill off the project car and repainted it... It's an FK Automotive fake Irmscher one but it's faded in the sun!
