Has anyone watched this? I just watched episode one, and it's pretty unpleasant.

Yes. I watched a few weeks back, one after the other. I don't think we realised at the time just how close we all were to a major major disaster.

probably doesn't show the true horror and loss of life (which was played down)
the fallout reached the UK  :(
in the long term it may effect us all ,if it hasn't already  :-\

I've got a vague memory of the sheep in Cumbria being painted blue and confined to barracks. Very vague, though, I could have dreamt it.

Apparently , there are farmers in Wales that still today have to have their sheep tested and soil samples checked for radiation.

I like a bit of Welsh lamb, but New Zealand lamb is cheaper. Work that one out.

Yeah watched it when it came out, Was very well made fair play. Enjoyed it  :y

It’s also done some good bringing the dangers of Nuclear if/when one goes wrong for whatever reason to the spotlight. It’s been mentioned quite a bit since the release of this series on the news, newspapers etc.. Also educated some people who where previously oblivious.

Snowdonia North Wales area was pretty badly affected with the fallout from Chernobyl as mentioned above for the farmers / lamb etc... Plus who knows what affects this has had on people in the area.

What's the point? Only Russians will see it and they're too drunk to care.
