...Car is in excellent condition - 65K and everything works too. Full dealer FSH, including record of the vital cam belt kit change....
hi and welcome.

bear in mind that the cambelt and tensioner kit will be due for renewal shortly - it's 4 years or 40k, whichever comes sooner. Best to change the water pump this time round too. Have you got a link to the ebay item, we could tell you straight away from the pics if it's pre or post-facelift ... if there are any!

Thanks for the welcome.

The car is here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=003&item=130036447826&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

The wad of receipts that came with the car show that a "cam belt kit" has been fitted three times - at 34494 miles, 44131 miles (inc. water pump) and at 49327 miles!

from the solid headrests and what looks like side airbags, that's a mini-facelift you've got there.

as long as you remember the 40k / 4 years cam belt kit change rule (which it sounds like has been done so far) then you should be OK!

looks quite tidy from what can be seen in the pics though ...

- thanks, that's useful

I managed to speak to the last owner but one yesterday. He had the car for five years so was able to give me a bit of background. He said he had the cam belt changed three times because of a leaking front oil seal.

One thing I'm curious about - where are Omegas made? Some Opel factory in Germany?
