Spare parts
« on: 18 February 2019, 16:48:36 »

Hi there!
I have a Opel Omega 2.2i year 2000 sedan donor. I am wondering which parts should i keep and which ones should i leave before sending it to the scrapyard. And also am wondering how to remove turn signal and window cleaning switches.
Thanks!

According to Haynes to remove indicator/wiper stalks you remove steering wheel then unscrew the lever from the steering column tilt mechanism and detach upper and lower sections of the steering column shroud.Depress upper and lower locking tabs and slide switch unit from the top of the housing and disconnect wiring. This is for the pre facelift/mid facelift cars but I don't see why Opel would alter the fitting for the later facelift cars.HTH.

No need to remove the steering wheel, IME, although there are a couple of screws which require the steering wheel to be turned in order to remove the shroud. 3 additional screws into the bottom of the shroud. Then the switches just unclip, as said. :y
