What? you have guys in boiler suits visible from the parts dept?
When I got the HBV yesterday parts is just another desk at the service reception, with a young spotty muppet sat at a pc looking lost. He didn't even know what a plenum was, or where in the engine it fitted then I asked for the HBV and subsequently had to explain that it was a heater/coolant/AC component. I pity anyone who wasn't sure what they needed to do a job cos Spotty was totally clueless. Felt like askin if his Mum knew he was playing in a garage. ;D

 ;D ;D - Too right.

I remember before i joined these forums, i went to a Vaux garage to get some new windscreen wiper blades, i asked when i bought them could you fit them? never done i before.

He did the usual sucking air though his teeth and said, we will have to book that in for you!  :o

I said, can you do it now? (3 guys in Vx monkey suits drinking tea behind the desk)

More sucking air.... hummm no we are too busy!

Well sod that, posted on some forums, got the instructions and did it myself in 5 mins!

Just got the bill for yesterdays HBV change £150 + parts.
Think it would have been cheaper getting VX to fit it.

Well when I say £150 that was what the bike cost me I bought for his birthday so he's busy chavving it up tonight mudguards computer lights etc. Bet he's gonna want a head unit & sat nav next.

 ;D ;D

You should get him a Masterfit Boiler suit for when he's working on it too!  ;)

Leads is a level resistence across the set of 6. DIS pack is basically a swap out with a known good one. On removing the DIS pack, look for corrosion/rus on the bottom of it and separation of the plastic insulation. Sure sign of it being damaged.

Beer 1st definitely.

Took my facelift for a run today, after the breathers had been cleaned.

All i can say is wow! what a change.... its much much quicker off the line in first, the engine feels a lot less "stuffy"

Also feel loads more of power from 3.5k revs onwards, its really noticable in 3rd pulling hard after 3.5 new surges in power i never knew the engine could do!

Vast vast improvement in performance  :)

Went over to visit Omegatoy in ardly, really friendly guy really knows his stuff. Fitted cruise on his '95 GLS TD Estate... worked straight away perfectly, did not need to be enabled  :)  He was chuffed! Had the pleasure of driving it, damn that thing shifts!! He's had it chipped to 200bhp  :o - Also has a clutch from a 3.0 senator..!! - It is so so fast off the line in first.

Also interested to find out he made that Omega GLS Saloon with the full running gear of the Lotus Carlton....DAMN!!! wish i new he was so near, i would have been banging on his door shouting "give me a go, give me a go"  ;D
