The reg plate on the yellow car can't be real - this is obviously a factory demonstrator  of some sort...

In New York City I'd be flagging the yellow one down to take me to the airport. It's painted just like a Checker Taxi Cab.

Is now the time to mention I have been looking at moving to down under??

Cracking cars there, could get me a nice Commador V8 :D

Serisouly though been looking at houses out there, for £90k you can get a 3 bed detached with A/C thoughout the house. Jobs pay a little less, around 10% but cost of living there is lower.

Getting on the housing market here in the UK is impossible, you need 150k min really  :'(

I found myself parked next to a Monaro 5.7V8 at tesco this weekend.

I've never really been taken with the images of them in brochures and web sites...

but actually , in the flesh, it's a very nice looking, and sounding , little (well, okay, slightly not little) car....  lovely..... (nice chap who owned it didn;t mind me drooling a little... )

I do find myself wondering how much fun Mark and Omegatoy would have cramming the V8 into an Omega....

and volunteering my poorly elite for the process  ;)

(someone else will have to donate the engine, and shares in BP )

I saw the Monaro a few years ago in the NEC exihibition, it was called Monaro but had a blank black circle instead of a badge, the sales people at the Vauxhall stand said at the time that it has just been decided to bring it to the UK but they are not sure what badge it will carry, e.g. Vauxhall, Holden, or maybe another GM brand, so they put it on the stand with no badge... the plak next to it just said Monaro, and the price was 'from 28,000'.

you have to prove you have a skill in demand there.  Decent IT people, ie architects etc are, but fresh out of uni, inexperienced, unproven techies may struggle to get the visa....

Been looking at their website, its a little confusing they generally say 4+ years experiance which is fair enough, but once section i stumbled across if you have the skills they need in a particular state then your needed.

I first would like to get a temp visa, just see what its like out there. I have an auntie who lives in Melbourne so can stay with her for free, just fancy a real change
