Omega 2.6 V6 CDX Saloon - Auto
Star Silver 2003 / 53 – 112,000
Very good condition for age – it has one or two stone chips on the front end and a few minor marks on the sides from car park but it cleans up beautifuly. The front bumper seems to have had a spray over in its early life as there are signs of a slightly mottled finish if you look really closely.
I have had genuine Steinmetz (eibach) springs fitted 18 months ago along with Bilstein B8 shockabsorbers which were the Steinmets original fitment with their springs. Along with poly wishbone bushes on replacement wishbones and poly ARB bushes and new droplinks this is a sublime handling V6 saloon. All this cost me in excess of £1,200.
I had the rear windows professionally tinted to 35% tint which is a nice mid-smoke and avoids having to have those awuful kiddie sunblinds in the rear!
Currently it has some very nice black leather MV6 front seats (still cloth in the rear) I can get these changed before sale if necessary.
I have owned this car for 3 ½ years and my dad had it before me from about 9 months old bought through Network Q.
It has been main dealer serviced to 60k and then I have been taking it to an independent Vauxhall specialist where it has had everything it needed.
The aircon was rebuilt 3 years ago and it has had a new battery 2 years ago along with a new heater motor and rear donut bushes.
Front Brake pads were done Jan 2011 so approx 18k ago.
Its had recent new wiper blades.
The car is due a service but I would rather let this be done as the new owner requires – it has always had Mobil1 and cam belts have been done at the service interval and the next one is due either in 10,000 miles or sept 2014. Last belt change was at 82,200 on 09/2010
There is a small amount of rust on the inside of the rear arches and a bead of surface rust on the passenger side roof guttering.
The passenger side headlight is a little milky.
The car is on Kumho KW27 winter tyres which still have a good amount of tread left.
This car has done me 1,000 a month for the last 3 years but now a change in circumstances means it is surplus to requirements.
All the electrics work fine – the CD plays ok and there is the auto changer cartridge. Inside the car could pass for 50,000 easily.
I have been as totally open and honest as I can be with this description (probably at my own detriment). If desired I can supply the original suspension, wishbones and interior.
There is tax to the end of April and the MOT is due for 18 August 2013. The only advisory last time was for rear brake pads but that was only 3,000 miles ago.
For sale at £500 (no offers) for the above with or without the MV6 seats – this is taking into account the need for service etc….
If you have it with the MV6 seats I will give you the original cloth front and the matching rear leathers (but they are for an estate) so you can always sell them on and make a few ££ later. I will also throw in all the original suspension parts if you want.
Please PM me for any other questions you may have and I will send you photos of whatever parts of the car you want to see.
The car is located between Newport and Cardiff and can be viewed at weekends or evenings (if you don’t mind it being dark!)
I will get some photos up soon.
Thanks.
