I think it's traditional to post up pictures?  :)

Perhaps not allowed and/or a firing offence seeing as it's a company hack?

Soon to be repaired and back on the roads to be sold on once no longer company stock to some unsuspecting fool..

.. so let us know when it's for sale, because I am known to have a penchant for buying abused vehicles :-[ :-[ ;D

Hand back is on Thursday, and then its off for repair, whilst I get a shiny new one

Having the same again, or something different this time?

Same again but a different colour (Loira Blue?), its been a very effective and good all rounder, 48ish real MPG on my commute, very comfortable, pretty good handling without being harsh, lots of gadgets, still hits 60 in 7ish seconds.

At the moment its either F-Pace or Velar for size/economy/enjoyment from todays offerings.

Cleared the sunroof drain tubes on the 960 and booked it in for M.o.T. on the 10th Oct.

I managed a dazzling (genuine) 35.8mpg over the last tank.  You can tell I've mostly used it for work, and in works time ;D.  Although it did include a mad rush to rescue Mrs TB's Omega from the hard shoulder of the motorway after her blow out, and a proper drive to Bicester in order to catch miss the train.

Not convinced I'll ever do better though.

Prepared the spare wheel well for welding and cut out the pieces of metal ready to weld in place. Had a quick dash to Machine Mart tonight to get some gas and welding wire.
If the rain stays away tomorrow , should get it all welded up, and hopefully painted.
Next job will be to remove the sill covers, which brings on a degree of fear and dread but it has to be done.

Lay in copious amounts of tissue and your favourite beverage, then have a good poke about inside the arches at the sill ends and under the front edges of the rear bumper.

After chopping the rot out of the spare wheel well, welded new metal in.

Im not the worlds neatest welder, but I think a few coats of paint, will make a welder what he aint.

As Im a half crippled old fart, I was knackered when I finished, but hope to paint it and tidy up underneath tomorrow.
Then the search goes on for any more rust to chop out. Sometimes not sure why I bother, but it has to be better than sitting indoors watching dickheads real deal and other assorted shite.

You'll find it a lot easier if you cut back a bit further with neater shaped holes. Several small patches is much more work than one large one too. Quicker, easier and better - finally you don't need to chose 2 out of 3 :y
