Haynes 2.0 16v is close enough

It's the 2 64 pin plugs on ecu one on body loom that connects to car systems and accelerator pedal that is different from the older 2.0 that was cable operated throttle etc.

Depends what engine you are thinking of...
Personally had considered a Z20 lump from an '02/3 Zafira GSi... Wiring ought to be near enough to be able to plug it into the Omega chassis loom for instruments... Any extra wiring would be on the engine loom which you would presumably fit with the engine and ecu...
The complicated bit was done at the factory... Even fitting a V8 only required a handful of connections to be made.
Hardest part would be the intercooler plumbing.
Of course, if you want to fit a C20LET then you're adding extra work re throttle gubbins etc...

Why are you considering this? Just asking :)

Thinking about a smaller lighter engine more free reving and more power and torque than v6 and much more tuneable for more power.

Ahh yes, best reason of all :y

I would like to go the opposite route. A 3.0 v6 in a Chevette shell .Its been done before, but the hardest part would be finding the shell to put the running gear in.

Yea My mate had a couple of mint chevettes one was auto and very small miles for its age and was garage all its life. With funky check interior. Be interesting project
