Post by: Shackeng on 24 December 2018, 16:58:14
May I wish all OOFers a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year, and my special thanks The Boy for running the site, and to all those who offer help to us lesser mortals.
Kind regards

Just done our Christmas eve snackfest. Paté, cheeses, crackers, crisps & dips, pickles, garlic mushrooms, garlic prawns, prawn toasts followed by chocolate fudge cake and cream.
Wifey always asks if I want it leaving it out for me to pick. I always say no. I always find it later and pick at it.  ;D

Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas, Rolf. No doubt, a very difficult one for you.  :(
Good luck with your job interview but, if you don't get it, there will be others. For today, just enjoy the company of your children. You will probably all have a good cry, but that is what family is all about.

Merry Xmas all. Hope you all have health and a tree full of pressies :)

I haven't ventured down yet to see id Santa has been, as I've been struck down with something nasty - akin to deadly manful, but without the cold like symptoms - just shivering, chunder zone, immense tiredness and lethargicness.  And working out how to get out of the bath.

When I succeed, need to decide with bed or sofa is to be my slot for the rest of the day.

I have something similar but I think I am over the worst of it.  The shivering sweats last night weren't pleasant but the Morrisons nasal spray is remarkedly effective at keeping the airways open.

That`s the  one I`m talkin about  The boys  Dad is my neighbour & shelled out £120 for this thing. It is quick even with his  weight challeged 15 year old nipper on board 8)
We`ve all had a go & the battery seems to be holdin out quite well.
It`s just a fad, but  refuses to wear all the safety gear he got with it  :)
So I`ve given him one of my old moto-cross helmets to wear & we`ve convinced him it looks way cooler  8)

Discovered after Crimbo that the dog most definitely does not like quadcopters .. there was a fella flying one in the local park (probably a Crimbo present, as I've never seen him before) with full first-person gear (X-men goggles etc) and the dog went bananas at the noise...

...at least I know if one ever lands in my garden, the Dog will be first there to eat it ;D ;D ... but evidently not a hobby I'll ever be taking up!

Took the decorations down today. :o Due to SWMBOs stay in hospital over Christmas. My dear old Mum said the other day that was bad luck to keep them up after the 6th of Jan. I then asked her if she considered that smashing my car up and her DIL being carted off to hospital could be considered good luck. :D

Personally, I don't believe in superstitions, so look on the bright side. SWMBO has had a major operation, without complications (a friend was in a coma for 6 months after his triple bypass). She has avoided having a heart attack and the damage that can cause. You have had a very tough Christmas, so now help SWMBO recover and enjoy the New Year & your future life & happiness together. :y :y :y
