How autistic are you?

A university has devised an online test which assesses how autistic you are:

I scored slightly above average, which was not a surprise and is very common for computer programmers.

Below average for me too.

Interesting which occupation has the highest number of autistic people or should I say with autistic traits.  I am not at all surprised that teachers scored low.

That's far too simplistic, esp as a person with autism would find some of the questions difficult to answer truthfully.
My son has aspergers and you start to learn how to approach situations so as not to upset/frighten him.

Here's a situation I've just made up: you are standing in the kitchen peeling potatoes when someone with aspergers knocks on the the door. You go to answer it. They take one look at you and run away. Why?

That's right. And it could be worse. They may attack you (defend themselves) or bring the police to your door. There is no thought process that allows them to quickly assess the situation and realise what is actually happening. Almost everything is literal.

Yes

You know where stuff is and remember it. e.g. Street names, a house on a street. I suspect your score is quite equitable with other folk in the transport industry. Nowt wrong with that.
