Well it's a handy story that someone's been sitting on for the right moment, to deflect attention from another story that they don't want us to think about.  ::)

Angela Raynor's tax affairs?  ???

The media have been typically muted about that, but if a senior Tory MP had similar allegations they'd be in full hysteria mode!  :-X

If you plan to keep your future classic until it dissolves, I think I'd phone around some indy garages/gearbox specialists for quotes on changing the fluid and disturb the wallet moths.  :)

Alternatively, you can leave the moths alone, hope for the best, and give us all a laugh when the gearbox dies in a spectacular fashion in a typically inconvenient place/time!  ;D

I think it's giving you a hint that it wants some TLC.  ;)

Is that Beemer's colour the infamous Bellend Purple???   :)
No, you'll have to google BMW Thundernight metallic. Put you sunglasses on first  ;D

Ah yes. I'd be a bit concerned if my bellend was that colour!  ;D

Drove it back from Tenby. We took her car as her cruise control goes down to 15mph (very handy in Wales  ::) ), whereas mine bottoms out at 20mph. Most of the journey was on the M4 but there are quite a few 40mph/50mph average speed monitoring sections so I had to behave.  :)  Her TFSI petrol is a punchy engine and can shift when prodded. Economy is very good for a petrol engine as well.  :y
Should have said you were coming I’d have had a word with Mark about the 20 plenty for you🤣🤣

Ah, I didn’t realise that he was a personal friend of yours. ;)  ;D  :y

It's a bromance.  ;D

They always go faster with a fresh MOT!  :)
But still not as fast as a hire car.  Even if it is a 1.2 Corsa, with a turbo, apparently.

I was in Portugal last month for a week and had a Fiat 500 998cc, which was very fast!  :y  ;D

I've just driven her around for twenty minutes and she has decided to behave perfectly again.

Smooth changes, all gears available in both manual and auto. She is 17 years old though and I am concerned her teenage episode' may be a portent of things to come.

I'll check out the cost of an ATF change. Local garage man charges £60 p/h INCLUSIVE OF VAT.
An ATF change should sort it properly.  :y

Hopefully. Auto box cars are generally reliable.

My first car, built by the communists at BL, had lost 2 of its 4 forward gears by 50,000 miles.

Thrash the balls of it in first then straight into top (4th) and hope for the best. ;D

I had a 1980 Ford Cortina Estate Auto with no second gear when I lived in Australia in the 1990's and it was the same. Had to trash it in first and it would slide straight into third as there was no second gear. ::)

I did 13,000 miles around Australia in it though without any issues.  :y

No need for any other gear than top when crossing the Nullarbor plain. >:D 8)

Exactly and to be fair a lot of the roads from Adelaide round to Brisbane going clockwise are long flat straights.  :)

Cidies could be interesting though!  ;D

Awesome!  8)

Will look forward to seeing some pictures when you get it.  :y

Nice to waft about in on sunny days and if you get it for a good price, a sound investment!  :y

My omega has developed a fault too, it will only go in 1st or reverse. I’ve had enough now, anybody want to take it off my hands?

First and reverse gears are all you need in Wales, thanks to your Dear Leader Mr Drakeford and his 20mph speed limit.  :y                                                ;D
