Here's an interesting article from CNN about a dog meat festival in Southern China.

I spent 6 weeks travelling around China in the 1990's and might have eaten it, but not knowingly. I also lived in Vietnam for a while where they also eat it, but there it is an expensive delicacy so I didn't have there. Maybe I should have tried it but wasn't really bothered.
I think that meat is meat to be honest and as long as the animal has a good and healthy life and is dispatched quickly and humanly then it's fine!
However this is China we're talking about......
