TBH, that's a bit of an unknown quantity.

There's no mention of mileage or any maintenance on it.

If you bought it, you'd need to allow for at least a grands worth of remedial work just to make sure the chains and tensioners were up to scratch, then there's the cylinder head condition. They have a tendency to crack and replacements are like hens teeth!!

Granted if it's in good nick and low(ish) mileage, it's worth it. I remember a brand new one selling on eBay a while ago for £4500 though!!

Realistically, if you fancied doing a conversion, you'd be better off buying a LHD Lotus Omega that's on it's last legs for around £6k, then you'd get all the ancilliaries along with it like the suspension, 6 speed box, ECU's and most importantly brakes!!!

I hadn't thought about it in such great depth  :-[ Mainly because a serious thought never crossed my mind when reading the advert, merely dreamland thoughts!  ;D

Anywho, all good points.....It'd just be nice having an extra 600cc and 2 hairdryers stuck on the manifolds  :)

You could do that cheaper if you weld a small hond motorbike engine on the plenum and , er, two hairdryers (£6.99 each Argos).

Just a thought, but you started it! ;D
