Vectra clutch judder on take off
« on: 26 October 2019, 14:05:53 »

2008 Vectra 1.8 petrol manual
On pullimg away I experience some clutch judder, something I have not suffered for years. In the past the usual cause was engine mountng loose or soft. Might it be anything else?

Thanks. Yes, could well be, but sounds like a gearbox off job, so I will live with it. Clutch does not slip. I will check the engine mountings, though, one might be torn, or even loose.

Any noises?

Not sure if the 1.8 has a DMF or not.

When was the last brake fluid change?

Hydraulic clutch on those...

Also, no DMF ;)

No idea. I haven't changed it yet. Could that cause a clutch judder?

Old or low fluid won't help the hydraulics any. The release bearing will wear prematurely if the slave doesn't release fully...
