They were around £110-125 delivered from Monkfish, so actually £150 is pretty good delivered from the States ;)

Real question is are they worth 5 or 6 times as a rubber set  :-\

Having driven a Polly'd 3.2 saloon, personally I'd say no. The Omega for me was always about being a comfortable motorway cruiser, it was not about chucking it hard around into country lanes at speed. If you want that, the Omega is the wrong choice.
TG has a manual 3.2 estate on lpg... and he drives it. Properly.

Anything that tightens the estate back end has to be an improvement.

Steve, the proof of the pudding will be in the eating ;)

Its hard to say what the difference in feel is like, as its fair to say that most of us running on polys had shagged (probably original) rubber doughnuts previously. A bit like the new tyre syndrome.

Suffice to say, once I did the Silver Bullet, the handling difference made me do TBE as soon as was practical afterwards.

Obviously, when I said I did them, I meant chrisgixer changed them while I drank his tea and biscuits :D

Be aware, they are not completely a fit and forget item, even poly'd. Very, very aggressive driving, they do shift sometimes, and need reseating.  This is a relatively easy task, unlike removing the old rubber ones that get rusted in badly.

If I got another Omega, would I pay £150 for polys?  Answer: Yes.

The extra $32 for EP1168 may well resolve the adjustment issue by dropping the front of the subframe slightly...

Never tried because they weren't available here.

The pair of EP1145 doughnut bushes, when packaged:

Length = 140mm
Width & depth = 115mm
Weight = 1.24kg  (this includes all of the packaging, which consists of clear packaging with a card label)

Struggling to find fitting guides for them, but they either fit between the supplied top pad and the chassis, or pack the gap between the main bush and the support plate... the latter being my guesstimate as this would reduce subframe movement to a minimum under extreme loads. That said, it may simply be a more substantial version of the pad in EP1145 and fitted as a halfway house in lieu of the factory pad :-\

Overall, fitting is so straightforward that you would only be looking at an hour or so to try both :y

Incidentally,

Ring Monkfish on Wednesday daytime 9-3 and ask re stock. Otherwise Pedders UK should be able to sort you, and answer any questions re the fitting of EP1168 :y

Right, i've got a pair coming from cloggie land curtesy of Peter (Vega)  :y :y

After reading the guide (yes a first for me I know) and a few posts on this subject, i've a few questions ...........

1/
How easy do they come out ?
Is marks special tool  :D :D needed or will a assorted selection of screwdrivers and liberal use of a lump / claw hammer do the job ?
I see that it says that NO grease should be used  :-\
Is this for OEM ones only or OEM and polys ?

2/
Getting the new ones back in ........
is it a case of warming them up in the oven, getting them seated then bolting it all back together ?

3/
Its mentioned that fitting these can move any stress to the rear mounts so without lying in the puddles outside, are we talking about the rear diff mounts which are not available  :-\ :-\

Al pointed out what looks like a spacer (EP1168).
Would this help keep things in check or am I talking shite as normal ? :D :D

Did you ring Pedders? As they would have answered your queries ::)

3.Yes the rear mounts are the diff ones... these will either be fine or already shot. If shot they can be recast in either poly or resin... I went resin and the back end was absolutely rock solid 8)

1. Do one side at a time. Remove the plate, lever the bulk out of the middle, might even fall out. The get a cold chisel and insert into one of the notches on the flange, obvious once there... then smash ten bells of shit out of it... aim is to make that point reach the centre of the space. Flange and remnants should pull out with minimal fuss.

You can piss about with a pair of claw hammers, but why bother?

2. Poly donuts are simply a push fit. A wipe of copperslip will prevent squeaking.

If not fitting polys, don't heat them... the standard ones contain a metal flange which will expand and you'll never get them in ;D

I used rubber grease for the ones I fitted.
