I would have a go at what Mark suggested......

If you soak the studs in WD40 or similar the day before.....you'll have a better chance of them not snapping  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Even though I have Expert Status on here  ::)

I doubt i could do it, even just moving the engine a bit. I don't have to tools to move or lift the engine atall.

Breaking a car for the sake of a manifold gasket change is a bit extreme....

You can get the nuts/studs off without moving the engine (fiddly but can be done).

Then try to wiggle it out, you can always try levering the engine over.

You make it sound so simple Mark!  ;)

I take it you have to remove the heatshield to get acess to it? as i can't even see the manifold....

Might sell it as is... and move on to a more fun Project, I want an Oil Cooler fail one!  ;D

Tunnie, if you break the car, remember it has Projector headlights. Worth something.

Care to swap projects?  ;)

I don't really want to break it, although the gearbox is on its last legs (feels like it going out of second :o)

Nah, blew it out of coolant expansion cap  >:(

Can't remember, did you say if it was the heated jets blocked, or the pipes?

 :o :o

The blocked top rad pipe maybe? One end was cool and the other was hot, maybe there is a blockage or air pocket in there?

Think its the pipe, motor works. When trying to remove the pipe to the drivers side jet, i accidently ripped the rubber. So tryed to wash the window anyway, had the pumping noise but no water came out from the jets, or around the bottom of the pipe were i ripped it.

So there must be a blockage between the main washer bottle and the pipes which lead to the bonnet. No water comes out of the tailgate washer either...  :-/
