Anyone following these protesters?
No leader. They succeeded in gettting Macron to back down over fuel prices but they continue rioting and protesting. Will Macron resign?
Students now protesting.
Macron - for the rich?
It would be easy to dismiss the protests as “The French”. Could the same happen in Britain post 29 March? Could the French yellow jackets get a leader and become a political party?
-
I could see such a party gaining support from the disaffected, whether or not they would become a prty to be reckoned with is another matter. But would they want to form a political party or would this then make them too "establishment"?

The irony won't be lost on them... which will probably be cause for a riot of its own ;D

Nah we're far too apathetic civilised to do things like that. ;D

Except for the champagne socialist youth who burned half of Old Croydon and various bits of Lundun in 2011 ::)

As per usual where there is a chance to create chaos, Russian active measures are stirring things up. >:( >:( >:( Where I'm being very vocal on Twitter at the moment over #Brexit I'm also getting a lot of Russian Bots following me on there. :(

True, but that wasn't really political, just the hot weather and too much grog went to their heads! ;D

2011 ..... wow time does fly by :)
Mind you with all that smoke in the air, we did see some nice sun sets that summer :y

Sod all to do with Russia. People are just fed up with the globalists (May, Macron and Merkel) ignoring them. They have seen how Trump is draining the US swamp and would like to see the same in Europe. So would I. :y

I find what is happening in France very interesting and with every new report there is confirmation that various people, of all different shades of the political spectrum, have come together with one clear aim; removing Macron.
This is the way in France, and has clear echoes of what happened in 1789. Many different groups combining to remove the key authority (the acristocracy) to gain control over their lives and no longer be dictated to by having fair representation in the national decision making process. Some being interviewed are even openly talking about civil war if Macron does not go.
Are we heading that way? So many of different political colours all fed up with British politics?
Before anyone says no, it can never happen here as we are not like the French, just remember the English Civil War that was fought to give democratic power (well some at least) to the people and take it away from authority (the King). Have our politics got to that stage again where we, the people, want our democracy back, or are we more interested in I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!?
We have been close to revolution before on a number of ocassions. However, on those ocassions the UK Parliament have been clever enough to be one step ahead of the game and give the people just enough to stop them rebeling. Is the current Government, or any ministers, good enough to do this now? ::) ::) ;)

To be honest, I think it all depends on whether the referendum is honoured. If it is not (and that includes any deal by which we would still be effectively governed by the EU) then all bets are off as it would be quite plain that democracy in the UK is a sham. Whether that will result in civil disorder, I wouldn't like to say, though I know people are livid with May and many in the Tory party at the moment. We live in very interesting, but dangerous, times.

Like I stated where chaos can be created RU active measures are there from Ukraine since 2014 to the US elections & illegitimate election of Trump who special council Robert Mueller III is steadily uncovering, to many personal RU troll attacks I've suffered from actively supporting Ukraine against their invasion by Russia, which I'm old enough, ugly enough & know how to use psyops to see off, so don't bother trying to teach me to suck eggs. >:( >:( >:(

Oh, please. Do you think that millions of Americans had their brains rewired by the Russkies to vote for Trump? No. It was the start of the world rejecting globalism and the Deep State. There was no collusion, though your Russophobia seems to make you unable to accept that.
-
Even the likes of Michael Moore were urging people to vote for Hillary, even though it went against every fibre of common sense.
Fact is, ignoring the way Trump presents himself via social media, he is actually quite switched on... And two years down the line, Middle America is still very much conservative right wing. ;)

Well they have become the mos successful protesters of modern times in my eye.
Macron has caved in and given , without being asked, thefollowing.
An end to the planned fuel tax rises
7% increase in minimum wage i.e. 100 euros a month more
Planned tax increase on low income pensioners dropped
Overtime no longer taxed
Employers to be encouraged to give atax free end of year bonus
Plus some other things like listening to the Provinces!
He is not going to tax the rich more though!
Think what would have been achieved if theyhad rioted, protested more. ;D

Germany will smack his bottie because he won't be able to balance the books now.

I see that they are still protesting.
One action has been to take out 60% of Frances speed cameras.

Again you are not the brightest bulb in the box of lighthouse floodlights. You clearly have no idea how the US voting system & electoral collage works. Government Intelligence services are called this where they employ the brightest & the best. I've got a grudging & great respect for Russian intelligence services of the GRU, FSB & SVR where they are the best in the world.
You don't need to millions of votes as the special investigator Robert Mueller is uncovering, you do this...
https://www.palmerreport.com/analysis/mueller-vote-rigging-scheme-nailed/15236/ (https://www.palmerreport.com/analysis/mueller-vote-rigging-scheme-nailed/15236/)
It took swinging & gerrymandering of 80,000 votes. Where mobster Trump has been a Soviet/Russian asset since at least 1984 the time was right to leverage this asset where they squeezed him to stand as President. This is classic mafia tactics. 1. Exploit weakness (bankruptcy/give loans). 2. Own. 3. Squeeze :( The good news is that after this major corruption clearout of Western democracy will be much stronger & better for it. :y :y :y
BTW about 90% of Christopher Steele's raw intelligence report has now been verified & two Russians implicated as sources have died in unexplained circumstances. :-X :-X :-X

Well it's all still going on and 12,000 took to the streets across France today in what the French media have dubbed Act XIII.
Apparently a photographer had his hand blown off by a 'desencclement grenade' which I think is a rubber pellet grenade! :o and also a group of Gilets Jaunes in Nice were prevented from crossing the border into Italy by Gendarmes. So much for free movement! :-X :D
Here's a report of events of the day from Le Monde as the UK MSM don't seem that interested. ::)

Just imagine what it would be like if France were going through a "Frexit" process similar to ours. :o

They probably will at some point and all hell will break loose, as Frexit will be involuntary when the Euro collapses. ::)
I hope we are well out of it by then! :-\

The BBC has a piece on it on their website today
I wonder how they calculate how many protesters.? When we drove up through France trying to find hotels off the beaten track you would see 5 or 6 yellow jackets on obscure junctions or roundabouts. Maybe they have officials that drive around counting them!
-
Frexit next.
-
Todays result in the Six Nations at Twickenham :y :y will give them something else to protest/riot about :D
-
I hear the French and Italians have had a big fall out over this.
It will be resolved either by the French surrendering or the Italians retreating. Just a matter of which happens first. :D

Quite correct however for every one prepared to risk their freedom by protesting peacefully or otherwise and freezing standing on a roundabout, there will be another 100 that support them. Plus another 100 with no views at all.
Not exactly like 1789!

No stranger than Citroen cars, which when unreliable, still surprises drivers, when they've bought a lemon! :D :D :D
