Evoque or not?
« on: 29 May 2019, 07:58:33 »

In town yesterday I saw an Evoque parked at the roadside....or did I? The car in question had no Range Rover/Land Rover badging on front, rear or wheel centres[o/s at least,I didn,t see n/s] nor did it say Evoque on the tailgate. What it did have both on the front of the bonnet and on the tailgate below the rear window was  LUMMA CL R RS all the lettering was in black apart from the S which was in red.So was it an Evoque which the owner had de-badged and their own lettering applied,a special edition type thing[such as you can get Range Rovers badged Overfinch]or some kind of clone/other?

The type of motor seen around the areas of Bradford, Southall, etc and Cheshire being driven by  big wallet small ------- syndrome. While wearing some branded sportswear.  and would the laydee driving it be surgically enhanced too.

That's what the LUMMA CL R RS is based on ;)

I can understand the confusion (for Baza) between RRSport and Evoque though, because the L494 seems to have gone on something of a diet since the L320.. Until you look at the numbers, it seems far smaller in real life than it's predecessor and much more like an Evoque than a RR.

Can't afford an L494 though, so I'll continue trying to stretch to a facelifted L320 and pretend I'm playing for Solihull Moors rather than Manchester Utd ;D (that is if I can ever find a well cared for example of either the TDV8 or SDV6, because the 5.0 is well outside my budget)

Lovely if you desire a vehicle that looks like an Elephant has sat on its roof 😁

Knowing where she's from, you're probably better off asking her family to do that! ;) ;D

So it wasn't an Evoque then but a Range Rover Sport that they've cleverly designed to look very much like an Evoque and then a different company have kitted it up to make it look "different" again ??? Clear as mud is that ;D ;D

They are pretty easy to live with, the new one is a much better drive than the previous though, one of the better small SUVs out there to be fair and surprisingly roomy inside (at the expense of boot space).

Our budget would definitely put us in the realm of one of the early ones, and probably with a load of miles :(
